My dear Steemit friends, to celebrate my father’s birthday, we came to the Dozo Japanese restaurant. We were very fortunate to see a special performance “Taiko Drum” offered in this restaurant.
Taiko originated in China, and it has been developed into a type of performance for about 50 years after it becomes the traditional percussion instrument of Japan. There have been tens of thousands of performance groups in Japan and are popular throughout the world. Taiko’s performances represent the blessing, the respecting to the god, or used to boost morale.
For the Taiko performance we saw this time, the melodious flute with the rumbling of drums, sometimes smooth, sometimes exciting. The performers danced with the music, driving the body’s muscles, showing the beauty of strength, and shocked our hearing and soul.
